Large areas of this country is the sea, so that Indonesian society is naturally maritime nation. Moreover, the strategic position of Indonesia, located in tropical areas. A vast expanse of ocean is the potential to develop marine resources which has an abundant diversity, both biological and other resources. One of these potential or biological resources are invaluable in terms of economic or ecological, namely coral reefs. Coral reef is a natural fortress guarding the coast and coastal communities from wave and storm erosion and protect the harbor from fast waves. In addition, more than 2000 species of plants and lay eggs, growing, foraging, and refuge in the surrounding coral reefs.

Young Generation, The Root Of Biodiversity in Indonesia

Indonesia is located in the right of the equator has a natural charm which is very beautiful exotica. Nothing wrong if before, Indonesia already called emerald equator. First. Blue sea dotted line with a beautiful islands, towering mountain ranges, green forests, beautiful and filled with matchless natural heritage, diversity of flora and fauna with a variety of types, style and colorfull is so beautiful. Gurgling streams, waterfalls, lakes soothing. And other biodiversity that can not be described one by one. Natural wealth of beautiful and stunning was created by God to be kept by human, not to be destroyed and the spent carelessly , because human nature was created to balance with all life on this earth.

Nowadays, we can saw a lot of Indonesian mass media headlines that discuss the problem of natural destruction in Indonesia. Ironically, the destruction of natural ecosystems, which is where live animals, plants, and humans are caused and exacerbated by human activity itself. The forests that had once been filled with tall trees and large, low cut by the hands of irresponsible, which was once green forests into barren evenly without any touch of concern in it. Exotic under the sea wealth is now turned into a gathering place of human waste, city parks, green areas, rice fields, rivers, lakes out by the dirty hands of human who just want to sip personal gain alone. If not done and the style of behavior change efforts think of now, our earth will not be eligible for occupancy in the future.

At nowadays, young child's attention is only focused on economic development with orientation to the physical. They seemed to ignore the problems of nature as inherited from the previous moyangn grandmother they are supposed to be able to watch them pass on to our children and grandchildren someday. Whereas the young generation plays an important role in changing behavior and thinking styles. They can become victims, while rescue of environmental disasters in the future. In the hands they are creative, ideas and actions can change pushed to reach out to support more people who care about the sustainability of Indonesia's natural. They have the power to invite other people to jointly maintain and preserve its natural. By thinking and brilliant ideas are not natural might not be to them if wisely and in accordance with the mandate of the previous ancestors to protect nature. If they thought for mlestarikan natural wealth is able to apply them properly and ignore the personal benefit gained from this natural wealth is not impossible that Indonesia will again become emerald equator.

Sampah LAGI, LAGI, dan LAGI

Berbicara tentang lingkungan hidup, erat kaitannya dengan masalah sampah yang akhir-akhir ini menjadi pembicaraan yang serius di kalangan masyarakat, masyarakat pinggiran khususnya. Sampah menjadi sesuatu yang menakutkan di kalangan masyarakat pinggiran, yang bertempat tinggal di pingir sungai kota-kota besar. Pasalnya, sampah membuat nasib mereka tak menentu di setiap musim hujan. Saat musim hujan, sampah-sampah yang menggunung tersebut menyebabkan banjir bandang yang akhirnya membuat hidup mereka terlantar. Sampah memang menjadi momok yang merugikan di masyarakat luas. Masalah sampah tidak akan pernah habis-habisnya selesai apabila tidak ada tindakan yang serius dari masyarakat , pemerintah khususnya. Pemerintah beserta bawahannya harus melakukan suatu tindakan tegas terhadap permasalahan sampah ini. Peraturan untuk membuang sampah sepertinya tidak cukup untuk membuat masyarakat sadar akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Masyarakat hanya bisa berteori dan berteori, namun kadangkala dalam praktiknya nol. Untuk membangun kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya membuang sampah pada tempatnya memang tidak semudah membalikan telapak tangan. 

Moral bangsa Indonesia yang masih rendah menjadi salah satu alasan kurangnya kebersihan di Indonesia. Menyikapi hal tersebut, kita mulai dulu dari pemerintah itu sendiri. Pemerintah seharusnya membenahi kinerjanya sendiri tentang arti kebersihan lingkungan hidup, baru kemudian menyusun suatu peraturan yang tegas dan mengikat untuk menegakan kedisiplinan bangsa Indonesia akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Baru kemudian masyarakat akan meniru dan bisa mematuhi peraturan yang dibuat oleh pemerintah itu sendiri.

Sebenarnya ada banyak cara untuk membuat sampah bukan lagi menjadi hal yang merugikan. Di era globalisasi dankemajuan IPTEK ini, pastinya telah mengenal system daur ulang. Sistem daur ulang ini adalah salah satu cara yang efektif untuk menanggulangi masalah sampah yang menggunung. Masyarakat bisa memanfaatkan sampah yang mulanya tak berguna tersebut menjadi sesuatu yang berguna dan dapat menguntungkan masyarakat, tidak lagi menjadi hal yang menakutkan . Teknik pendaurulangan sampah ini juga tidak terlalu sulit untuk diterapkan. Yang terpenting hanyalah melatih skill terlebih dahulu diikuti dengan niat yang sungguh-sungguh untuk menjaga lingkungan ini, karena bagaimanapun juga lingkungan hidup merupakan hal yang tidak bias dipisahkan dengan masyarakat sendiri.

Untuk itu, marilah kita tanam rasa peduli akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan hidup. Karena tanpa adanya lingkungan , tidak akan ada keseimbangan di dunia ini.
